Good Vibes

What I'm Wearing:
Crop Tee: Forever 21
Velvet Skirt: Thrifted
Ankle Booties: DSW
Moto Leather Jacket: Forever 21

Well, it's been another year and we're back!! First things first, let's discuss what has been going on in my life.

(From  left to right, top to bottom)

1. There's been a chance in my enrollment status because I am officially an Alum of Sam Houston State University. Whoop! Whoop!
2. With the new transition into post grad life and adulthood, I found I needed a change. So off goes the hair on both sides of my head.
3. My style has toned down drastically. A black and white palette with pops of color here and there. Can you say Minimalism!!
4. The mane has gotten ferociously long. And while I've played with the idea of going short, all it takes is one flat iron to change my whole world.

With the transition to being back home and working, I've let my blog fall to the side. But this year, look for a lot more from me!

Don't Be Such A Tulle

What I'm Wearing:
Tee- Old Fashion Merchandising Shirt
Tulle Skirt- DIY
Shoes- JCPenney

Summer time for me always means throwing myself into projects. Ever since I was little girl, each summer brought with it a new craft to immerse myself in. There was the year of the friendship bracelets, and another year gave way to crochet hats and button earrings. As for this summer, I'm definitely into DIY clothing and up-cycling thrifted items. This tulle skirt took a matter of minutes and I am absolutely in love with it!!! I chose something matte so that it wouldn't come off as too costume-y, and of course black can be worn multiple times. Would you rock a skirt like this? How?

Hive-Mind Mentality

What I'm Wearing:
Bumblebee Dress: ShopLioness
Shoes: Zara
Clutch: Phillip Lim for Target

Happy Friday Eve!! Nothing like a bit of sunshine to brighten such a cloudy day. No worries, this amazingly cute Bumblebee Dress I picked up from has got me covered! The dress itself stops traffic from any direction so I decided to keep my accessories simple. Every once in a while you have to step out of your comfort zone into something a bit brighter. Have an amazing day.

Renegade Rustler

Hey ya'll, I hope everyone is having a Good Friday... ahh see what I did there. For this post I can not stress how essential shorts are for men during the spring/summer season. About a year ago I was hesitant about wearing shorts above the knee; it took a second opinion to get me into them, now I can not go without cut off shorts in this hot, humid, Houston weather. I typically do more of a grunge/boho look with short, but because this is my first Stylistic Aesthetic post I decided to step out from my comfort zone and give you this urban cowboy look.

Cowboy Hat- Target
Flip Up Glasses- Hand me down
Horseshoe Button down- Thrifted
Cut off shorts- JcPenney's
Combat Boots- Forever 21

What I Wearing:
Bomber Jacket- Forever 21
Dolphin Short- Forever 21
Wedged Heels- Forever 21
Lipstick- Candy Yum Yum by MAC

One of the ultimate spring trends this season is the matching set. You might have seen it done a variety of ways, from skirts + tops, to suiting pieces, to shorts + sweaters. My favorite way to sport this trend is a rather casual and sporty way. While my set is not an exact match, I find that the pieces are similar enough to be worn together. The bomber jacket combined with the dolphin short gives this look a feel reminiscent of the 70's (one of my favorite eras in fashion by the way.) Also I really love this tropical-floral print, it makes me want to throw on a bathing suit and head to the beach.

How would you wear this trend? Let me know in the comments!

As Always, Stay Beautiful.
