Have you heard the news? One of the hottest trends to for spring is the ruched Knit Dress. You've probably seen different variations of the garments worn by countless amounts of people. Today, I will show you ways to style two types of these trendy dresses.
A Knit Heather Grey Dress from Forever 21
It has ruching along one side and is super flattering for curvy figures. Another thing that I love about this dress is the mock neck, a style I've been into for months now. The fact that it did come in this shade of grey means that I can actually go from day to night in this dress. Snaps for versatile garments!!!
How I Would Wear It:
I'd pair it with a clean, classic blazer and black ankle booties.
"Street Shark" Asymmetrical Dress in Black from ShopLioness.com
As soon as I saw this dress on the newly restocked ShopLioness, I knew it had to be mine. The draping the bottom skirt piece actually is what gives the dress it's ruching affect along the side seam. When I tell you that this baby fits like a dream in bottle??? I definitely need to make going out plans in the near future.
How I would Wear It:
A dress like this needs none extra garments to make it shine. A few pieces of jewelry, a bold lip and heels, an you're ready for a night on the town.
So what do you think? How would you style one of these dresses? Leave your answers in the comments below!

March to me means the promise of warmer weather, lots of sunshine and flowers all around. It's also means the moment when spring trends start to make their appearance. I'm always looking for new ways to reinvent florals, resort wear and denim.

What can I say about this woman.... I mean, what can I NOT say?!?! She is a maverick in the fashion world, a style icon on the streets of Brooklyn, New York and a beacon of hope to little black girls everywhere. Singer, songwriter, model, mother, and now the creative consultant for Puma, Knowles has proven herself as a force to be reckoned with. If that wasn't enough let's just take a look at why she rocks the world with her fearless style.
1. She can rock color.
2. She is unafraid of print.
3. She is versatile.
4. She is just so dang beautiful!!!
Because of Sol'Angel, I think we can all be a little more fearless in our style lives.

It's the day before Valentine's. No really, look at the calendar, it literally TOMORROW and you have nothing to wear! OK, breathe. I've got everything taken care of for you.
I present to you different looks based on different scenarios on V-Day. Which will you go with?
She is young and a sweetheart. This might be her first Valentine ever. She wants to make an impression but doesn't want to be too dressed up. A daytime date to the golf course followed by a picnic on the hill in this ensemble is perfect.
While anticipating the movies at the drive in, she wants to be in the spirit but red really isn't her thing. A few flirty black pieces and a little red lipstick and she's got it all together. Who said black couldn't be fun?
10 Things I Hate About You
Not necessarily anti V-Day but is at the same time. The thing is, she just happens to be single on the one day dedicated to couples. It can make anyone a little bitter. So why not be a rebel?! Dress like you're going to run into your ex and make him re-evaluate his life choices., then head to the club with the girls for a night a debauchery.
Plans to go dancing at the last minute when she was originally suppose to be working late. Swapped a skirt for shorts and she's ready!!! Classic pieces that are easily taken from day to night, the lounge it calling her name!
Say It Again
She's think she's found the one. Dates on V-day are routine at this point, but it doesn't make it should not be just a memorable. She is classic and simple, yet all eyes are on her when she walks into the room. She only has eyes for one special guy though.

Leggings- Forever 21
Chunky Scarf- AmberEmme
Shoes: Forever 21
Oh how I long for spring to come our way. Seriously, someone call spring and them to quit napping!!! Now onto to outfit. This lovely handmade chunky scarf by AmberEmme was the inspiration for this outfit. While it is normally worn around the neck, it wouldn't be if I didn't spice things up a little bit. Draping it over my head, not only gave me the edge that I love, but kept me pretty warm as well. The blazer is another thrifted gem that fits like a glove, and I also though that the color palette of the plaid would work nicely with the scarf. Keeping the rest of the outfit black, allowed the scarf + jacket combo to really shine.
Have a Wonderful Day!

Boyfriend jeans- Thrifted
Boots- Wet Seal
One of the things I love about thrifting is being about to find amazing outerwear. If you're looking for reasons to try it, that alone should be at the top of the list. There is always the chance to stumble on something truly unique, something no one else will have. I mean, you guys should see my blazer/jacket collection! One of my favorites to sport late winter/early spring is the floral number. It's dark enough to appease my winter style and light enough to add just a bit of light to my look. Oh and can we talk about the boyfriend jeans?!?! True to the name, I dug these babies up in the men's section. Who knew that men's vintage jeans would fit my body 10 times better than women's.
