Hey ya'll, I hope everyone is having a Good Friday... ahh see what I did there. For this post I can not stress how essential shorts are for men during the spring/summer season. About a year ago I was hesitant about wearing shorts above the knee; it took a second opinion to get me into them, now I can not go without cut off shorts in this hot, humid, Houston weather. I typically do more of a grunge/boho look with short, but because this is my first Stylistic Aesthetic post I decided to step out from my comfort zone and give you this urban cowboy look.
One of the ultimate spring trends this season is the matching set. You might have seen it done a variety of ways, from skirts + tops, to suiting pieces, to shorts + sweaters. My favorite way to sport this trend is a rather casual and sporty way. While my set is not an exact match, I find that the pieces are similar enough to be worn together. The bomber jacket combined with the dolphin short gives this look a feel reminiscent of the 70's (one of my favorite eras in fashion by the way.) Also I really love this tropical-floral print, it makes me want to throw on a bathing suit and head to the beach.
How would you wear this trend? Let me know in the comments!
So it' been almost a year with SA and boy has it been a journey! I can't say I've done it alone. There's been a guiding hand behind the camera capturing amazing shots of the outfits you live for. Now, with the expansion of the brand, I'm super proud to introduce my partner and new male correspondent to Stylistic Aesthetics, Alex.
As we move forward with SA, be on the lookout for posts that will cover not only women's style but mens' as well.
Thank you so much for all of your support. We are determined to make Stylistic Aesthetics your one stop for personal style!
Hey Loves!! Spring has finally decided to make its grand entrance. Bye, bye Winter, see you next later!!! The season is thought of as a time for renewal and starting over, and I like to think so for my wardrobe as well. Warmer weather gives the chance for trying out new styles and branching out of your comfort zone. Whether is a little more color, A new clothing trend, or just a new style in general! This spring, I've decided to steer my style toward a more bohemian vibe. I show you a taste of how I'm going to be wearing certain pieces in this lookbook. So check it out!!

Happy Monday and happy spring! I know that some of you are just starting spring break and I hope you are loving it. I sadly, have to work. But it does not mean I can look like I'm far, far, away from it all. I know it's been a while since I've done an outfit post but I haven't forgotten about you. I have been trying to juggle, school, work (including my senior internship) while still keeping a sane head. And now that it's finally starting to become warm, you'll soon see a lot more from me.
Hey Loves! Check out how I achieve this look for spring. I didn't it was possible having such thick hair but I made it work. A few Quick Tips: 1. Try this style on stretched hair to allow easy manipulation and smoothing. 2. Moisturize before styling to help ease any possible tangles. 3. Take your time twisting in order to get the prefect shape.

Have you heard the news? One of the hottest trends to for spring is the ruched Knit Dress. You've probably seen different variations of the garments worn by countless amounts of people. Today, I will show you ways to style two types of these trendy dresses.
A Knit Heather Grey Dress from Forever 21
It has ruching along one side and is super flattering for curvy figures. Another thing that I love about this dress is the mock neck, a style I've been into for months now. The fact that it did come in this shade of grey means that I can actually go from day to night in this dress. Snaps for versatile garments!!!
How I Would Wear It:
I'd pair it with a clean, classic blazer and black ankle booties.
"Street Shark" Asymmetrical Dress in Black from ShopLioness.com
As soon as I saw this dress on the newly restocked ShopLioness, I knew it had to be mine. The draping the bottom skirt piece actually is what gives the dress it's ruching affect along the side seam. When I tell you that this baby fits like a dream in bottle??? I definitely need to make going out plans in the near future.
How I would Wear It:
A dress like this needs none extra garments to make it shine. A few pieces of jewelry, a bold lip and heels, an you're ready for a night on the town.
So what do you think? How would you style one of these dresses? Leave your answers in the comments below!
