It's that time of the year loves, Back to School. We leave the beaches and pick up the book bags to head back to our studies. While summer will be deeply missed, something amazing to look forward to is the shopping! Your first day outfit says everything so if you're in need of ideas, you've come to the right place. Here's 6 different looks channeling a few of the different students on campus. Who do you connect with the most?

1. The All-Nighter

Don't let the comfy appearance fool you, she is a serious student with the gpa to back it up.
To master this look, opt for graphic tees and printed sweats instead of your run-of-the-mill t shirt and jeans. This look is super playful but high on the lounge factor.

2. The Class Act

She has a classic yet flirty flair to her style.
To channel this style, choose feminine silhouettes like a-line and baby doll cuts. Also, don't be afraid to mix florals and polka dot or stripes to add a little zip to the look.

3. The Rookie

Otherwise known as the incoming freshman. The key here is not to try so hard. College is less about "who's wearing what" Be fun and embrace color and comfort. Upgrade those tired jeans to a relaxed boyfriend jean along with sneaker wedges for some extra spice.

4. The Veteran

She's been there and done that. Here style is more refined, mirroring her soon to be post-grad lifestyle. In order to pull this look off, keep it super clean and minimal. Add a colored jean for pop and mixed metal jewelry to keep the outfit youthful.

5. The Socialite

She is one of the who's who on campus and the life of the party. Her style is super trendy, blending the old with the new. To master this look, don't be afraid to rock bold colors/pattern. Ground the outfit in a neutral color/texture (i.e. the faux leather) and don't forget the urban accessories!

6. The Art School

Carefree and whimsical, she's the type that can throw anything on and look amazing. Look for distressed detailing and dark chiffon pieces. The ankle biker boots are must!

Final Tips:

  • Comfort is key. If you can't see yourself running across campus in it, keep it in the closet til later.
  • Heels are a definite no-go. Trust me, your feet will thank you at the end of the day.
  • Classrooms can be chilly, always keep a thin jacket/cardigan handy.
  • Don't be afraid to explore different styles, what is college but a great place to find yourself?

I had an amazing time putting this lookbook together for you guys and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. I think this fall I will be rocking a mix of the Art Student and The Socialite.
